Boomwhackers™
Rhythm Rousers
|
|
What's a Boomwhacker™?
A tuned, colorful percussion tube which has a specific pitch. When hit against anything, a percussive note is wrung! Students play specific Boomwhackers™ similar to playing hand bells.
What are the benefits of Boomwhackers™?
The Boomwhackers™ Rhythm Rousers ensemble is a zany, fun, and highly educational way to learn to read music, improve rhythmic skills, and learn to play in an ensemble. For piano students, who rarely get the opportunity to play in a band or orchestra, this is a great opportunity to be in an ensemble.
What are the ages of the participants?
Boomwhackers are great for students from 3 to 103! However,
for our ensemble purposes, the most appropriate ages are 6-12.
When does the next session start?
Our Fall 2003 session begins September 8th and
ends in late January 2004. Classes meet Mondays from 4:00-4:45pm.
